I am all set to buy the winfast expert card. It seems to be the best I need for the price for me anyway. I was wondering if there is any usb equivalent to that. Since I may move around with the capture device, I thought it may be better to get a usb but I don't know how good is the usb quality and how expensive are they.
Also I have a dvi-d on my video card, is that pretty much useless since I don't think they have dvi-d adapter.

even they say usb 2.0 is fast, it seems really slow to me. I used external drive with firewire, and usb, and usb was a hightmare.....
go for pci.....faster -
I'm not sure what you are asking, but if you are looking at a external capture device; You might consider a ADVC-100. It is portable between OS's and computers. Disables Macrovision. Downside: Expensive, need a Firewire card. There are USB devices that perform a similar function. You might want to look through the capture card section on this site.

Your question refers to two different busses, so yes there are differences
