    If you would have read the rest of this thread, you would've noticed that I tried many programs already... and exchanging the enclosure fixed the problem, not another program. Now ALL programs work. Why post replies without knowing what you're even talking about?

    Out of pure curiosity let me ask: is your USB2 controller on-board or a PCMCIA card? What CPU do you have and what MB/PCMCIA card brand you have? What is your firewire configuration?
