ADVDINFO: RICOH JPNR01 - Datasafe Ritek

  2. The Memorex version of the RICOH -01 discs are excellent.

Given the overall reliability reports for that code at this site, the Datasafe Riteks should be every bit as good.

RICOH 01 are good,,,Have used 01's under TDK and Imation brands and a couple of unbranded discs and they are good.

  4. I only have experience with a limited amount of brands because they are the only ones sold in my area.

I have used Memorex -/+, Maxell -/+, and TDK - and have had no problems with any of them.

I know this doesnt really help too much since I am not giving the media code but I thought I would post anyway.

  5. Can't go wrong w/ those Ricoh's. But the second on the list (VDSPMSAB001) looks like the same maker of those "Sandy Yang" -R's they sell on eBaY. After having one-third of a 50-spindle fail after about 4.02G (90%) burned, I'm wary of trying any more from that maker. Maybe, just maybe, a small sample of their +R's to compare.
