I Have a VOB File and want to convert it to Mpeg 2 for DVD use.
I have tried a lot of Freeware and Shareware to try to convert it Like . Tempgenc, DVD Architect, DVDLab, Virtual dub and lots of other tools, If I try to demux the file it stops demuxing without a error at 1:50 or so, or it crashes. Some do the whole movie but then the movie is slow and stutters. If i play the original VOB on my PC there seems to be nothing wrong. I Don't know the source but it is a Promo clip.
Any Suggestions ?? Please

I Have a VOB File and want to convert it to Mpeg 2 for DVD use.
1)rename the extension to .mpg
2)use isobuster to extract the vob file
TMPGENC DVD Author will take VOB files (unencrypted), which you can then edit with. -
I've tried to import the vob into DVD-Lab, but if I click the option Demux , it dumuxes only 1:30 min of audio but the whole clip is 5 min or so.
The video stream seems to be ok, I think the audio stream is broken somehow.
But first I'll try your suggestions. (I'll let you know the result). -
Create a DVD2AVI project then encode to a mpg with tmpgenc
Go to file/open and load your VOB files. If the files are consecutively named selecting the first VOB will load all the others.
at Audio/track number select track 1 and at Audio/Output method slect decode to wav.
go back to file/save project. this will create a .wav and .d2v file
start tmpgenc load .d2v for video source and .wav for the audio and encode.
