    Hi

    I did some films for my friend who has a Sony NAS S400 player and all but one of them play as black and white all the way through. However, on my Panasonic NV-VHD1 they play fine all the way through. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

    I get this if the disc is ntsc but it is caused by my old telly not my player .Dont know if this helps you cos I dont know where your from.

    Chances are the discs are ntsc but your mates dvd player wont do the ntsc conversion and his tv doesn't support ntsc so they come out B&W. My Sony does the same thing.
