  1. Hi.

I am using Bulkpaq Orange DVD-R Discs. I have used quite a few of these in the past. I use TMPGenc DVD Authoring and its built in burner. I have an NEC 1300a. I have burnt numorous discs and have had no problems until now...

I got a new pack of the same discs, from the same supplier, and they wouldnt burn anything. Using TMPGenc DVD Author they just went from 0% to 100% in a few secs but nothing was burnt to the disc. I tried burning using Roxio on to the disc but Roxio told me the discs were faulty. So I sent them back and they sent me some replacement discs.

But guess what! Same problem still exists!! Has anyone any idea what I can do to get these discs to work.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Richard

You either have a hardware problem (dirty laser etc) or your original and replacement disks came from the same bad batch. Try burning a different brand. If that works, the disks are at fault and you should get the replaced with another brand.

  3. Do you think it is likely that the batch is the same. I bought 2 x 25pks about 3 weeks ago and 2 x 25pks yesterday. Im using ebuyer so I imagine they have quite a hefty turnover.

I have tried other discs and they did burn ok.

And I have also tried to clean the drive.

Think I am just going to have to give up on these discs...

Settle for a more expensive brand.

  5. They are Princo but I have never had a problem with them, I would put your problem down to a bad batch.

Yes they are Princo and burnt 100's with no problem up till my last batch aswell (local shop)
Will never use again now I found some decent priced ridisc's.

BTW the white ring in the middle is it solid or translucent, a friend of mine had loads of probs with the latter (bad sectors everywhere).
