    Hey guys,

I just pruchased a Powerbook and I have a question about iChat. I have everything set up and all is running good but I can't figure out to configure the away status. By this I mean that whenevr I set my iChat as away, it will read that I am away on everyone else's computer, but when they IM me, it accepts the message and doesn't send them my away message. How do I set it to where if I set it on as away that it will send them an away message when they IM me? I looked at the preferences section but I couldn't find anything about it. Thanks

    serious?
If you use the custom pull down menu and set an away message it should display that message to PC users or Mac AIM users.

iChat users can see the away message with out any text message needing to be sent - so there is no need to have it pop up when you send a message to an away iChat user

its the PC users, or mac AIM users that get the message popped up to them when they send you a message.

I know I'm probably asking for a lot, but could you please list the steps for the custom pull down menu and how I can set it. I did a custom away message and set it as away and my friend IM me from his PC but didn't receive an away message. How do I set that part up?
