  1. Ok I'm having a wierd problem. 90% of the time I end up with a completed burned dvd+r that won't play in my dvd player or my PC! I'll use DVD shrink, then burn it using nero...and when it's done I end up with a useless disc. I tried DVDXCOPY and I get the same thing. Once I was able to use the first method (dvdshrink>nero) and had a good disc. I have 100% success rate using the iso method is dvd decrypter but of course I can only do that with single layer discs. I'm using TDK DVD+R 4x media.

    Athlon 2100+
    768 RAM
    Geforce 4 MX440
    MSI KT3 MB
    Windows XP Home

  2. I forgot to mention my standalone player is the Magnavox MDV412, which plays dvd+r's without a problem when burned correctly

  3. (I'm filling this up with my own posts ) Ok, so I know I can always burn from dvd decrypter, but not nero (maybe it's not finalizing properly). I can get around all this by using dvd shrink to make an iso and going to back to dvd decrypter.
My burner came with Roxio 6, but I'm apprehensive because back in the cd burning days roxio sucked (buggy) and nero ruled. Should I uninstall nero and try it out? Anybody like roxio?

try leaving it in the wrighter for a few min's when nero say's it's donebefore clicking ok and discard so the disk ejects this allows the drive to finalize the disk (works on pioneer when wrighting on dvd+r/rw's)
