  1. Hi, i've rendered a tga sequence with 3ds max with a sky background,
    my problem is that when i import the tgas to adobe premiere,
    it doesn't show the sky, it is interpreting the alpha channel,
    how can i tell premiere to ignore the alpha channel?
    please help, urgent

    Right-click on the tga clip and select "Set Transparency". Choose "Alpha Chanel" from the list of transparencies. That will make the Alpha Chanel transparent so that you will see the clip below it.
    Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

  3. Thanks for your answer, but i don't see a set transparency option in the
    right click menu, or anywhere else, (i'm using adobe premiere pro 7),
    is there another way?

    premiere pro sets the alpha transparancy automatically. you can to going into the video effects folder, and play around with the keys there.

    It's in the effects palette.

    In order to be transparent you'll need the files that you want to have transparency in video track 2 or above and your cloud background in video track 1.
