Just interested to know what really gets your goat about this wonderful site.
I dislike:
Newbies who post a question here even before doing a web search;
Anyone that questions my credibility;
Anyone that personally attacks me;
Anyone that gets offended by my opinions.
Let it all hang out, people.

Just because you don't think it's a valid question doesn't mean your right.
it's very simple, If it pisses you off that much, don't answer it. -

Post what you need help with , not just a " Newbie needs help" or "urrr" or something not relating to your problem. IMO a person will get more and better replies.

I voted for the legal debates. It amazes how long some of those threads go on.

I must say I'm kinda disappointed that teegee started a thread a week before I thought of it. Its probably representative of my train of thought at the moment. sloooow........
I might have to replace the mice I think
Either that or the treadmills are worn
If in doubt, Google it. -

I voted for the grain of salt.
To some extent I can see where the newbies would post things like "what's the best......" They probably sign up, wait their 48 hours and come back, without reading or searching. And really they are just wanting someone to say "TMPGEnc DVD Author" is the best program out. They don't know anything, and they think doing video is going to be as easy as the commercials for XP said it was.
The Urgent crowd is annoying since their time is evidently more valuable than everyone elses.
I find the flame threads amusing and funny at times, and just about everytime one of them start because the original poster was egotistical about it, wouldn't listen to advise given, questioned the credability of the people trying to help them, like they already know the answer or something.
Sure are a lot of up tight people around....probably a result of drinking too much bottled water -
That's right! Those of us who drink the pool water are as laid back as can be.

I gotta have sympathy for the porn one, I wonder how many people endure a good flaming coz they have said they downloaded a movie (ie some nice juicy porn from some amature porn share site), only to be to embarassed to admit it was free porn - not copyright movies they downloaded!
There are plenty of trigger happy members around here that think
"d o w n l o a d e d m o v i e "
is how you spell warez! -

My vote goes to the original posters who post an "urgent" question about an emergency they're having. They get help and then run off to try it. We never hear whether it worked or not, and no thanks are offered. The least they can do is let us know ...I can live without a pat on the back. -
It bothers me that a lot of new members have come in, post a couple of questions and then probably disappear. At the same time several distinguished "oldtimers" are nowehere to be seen and some others, out of boredom perhaps, respond to newbie posts in a rather questionable way...
We really need something new to come around. Something to start interesting threads and keep people busy.
BTW, I voted for "Some questions never get answered". Some of them are really interesting questions, but get lost under a pile of "I've ripped the DVD on disk, now what???!!! - Please hurry"The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know. -
Original Poster never replies indicating success or failure..
That really brother's me -
How about those new on-mouse-overs on the front page that show you part of the message when you put your mouse on the topic? I find they block what Im trying to read....
