I lost my video clip (3hrs approx) and have a copy of it on a dvd, but I want to put it on the HD so I can back it up onto disk. First I tried drag & drop and it progressed almost right to the end the an error message came up cyclic redundancy. I copied other files just as big without no problem, also I tried saving it with virtualdub but it didn't do it properly, is there any other way I can do do it? I have Windows XP with 1 DVD combo drive by the way. If you know please contact the forum thanks.

yes I have cleaned it some of the other said that too but eventually they worked. Is there any other way that would get back onto the hard drive. When I tried it with virtualdub it hinted that it was a too bigger file and did I want to continue to which I replied yes and it got some of it onto the hard drive. but out of synch and messed up so I couldn't edit it. Could I split it or something without compromising the original?
