I can burn a disk with nero to a + or - disk with no problem. I can also burn a +RW disk and the disk works with no problem but after it is finished burning it just hangs up the computer. Nero says it is completed and I can move the mouse but can not activate any buttons on nero or anywhere else on my computer and I can not eject the disk. If i press the reboot key on my computer then I can eject the disk and it plays fine. I got a pioneer A06 burner.

well I went back to 6.0.0.0 and it works now. Maybe I should go back to 5.5 and get even better results

you are missing the point. As was pointed out earlier, you need to update nero 6. Bugfixes and new features are always coming out.

If I wanna take a sledgehammer to my computer I can. It is my business. For some ODD reason nero 6.3 dont install on my computer. Screw it. It is not too important as long as 6.0 can burn a dvd that is all I need.

  10. Personaly I wouldn't use Nero to burn DVD's at all, it's compatibility level is absolutly hurrible. I Prefer CopyToDVD instead, easier, faster and a hell lot more compatible 8)

troyvcd1 is right, you can find 1000's of posts on these boards almost equally split between all the major backup software "religions" like Nero, DVD2ONE, Shrink, Copy2DVD, and on, and on, and on. Same way with media, Intel vs AMD, capture devices, et al.

    Use what you like.

  12. @Jayhawk, I think you got me a bit wrong here, I love Nero, I use it to burn my images and some VCD's as well, mostly all my DataCD's I do with it, but I found during my short period of DVD burning, that it simply does not create that good compatibility with players.

I have never had any compatibility problems with my pioneer and good media. I never had one problem yet. I have not tested my dvds on too many other players. I guess I will continue using nero till I have a problem.

@Jayhawk, I think you got me a bit wrong here,
Sefy, My comments weren't directed at you. I actually agree with you completely regarding Nero which is why I use Decrypter and Shrink. I just get frustrated sometimes with all the "I use this and you should too" comments I see on the boards. troyvcd1 seems comfortable back at Nero 6.0.0. which seems to bother gitreel. I'm pretty sure it doesn't affect the quality of my life so I don't really care what troyvcd1 does.

hello there all :] .... just passing through.... I have that same problem with nero, it burns good up to the last and then the color led goes from red to orange... if it's real bad it will hang and not recover.... and through careful examination i realise that it happens if im burning on the fly at the max speed ( 4x ) and this happens too burning from the hard disk..... so i just burn at 2x or 2.4x ... so far it's going good... i have a lite-on

nice to meet you all.... take care :]
