The Demo has obviously left something on your computer that tells the program it's been installed before, so you need to find that file and delete it. GOOD LUCK.

how do i fix this
1. Open Demo and click ' Click here to buy this product '
2. Follow the on screen instructions. -
i already deleated the demo and all of its properties (eg folder and all)
also when the demo expired it dosent allow me to open it anymore, it just sais the demo has expired
thanks again -
This is not something that I usually recommend, because if you don't know what you are doing, you can really mess up your computer, but you could use regedit to delete the program from your registry. Use the find command to look for that program, and delete all traces of it. Once that is gone, then you can reinstall and the problem should be solved.

A program like Mcafee Quickclean may be able to find the files that have been left behind. With most programs not all the files relating to the program are in the set directory.

when you say find command, are you talikin about about under run in start menu or search in start menu, and this is a program that i bought, it was e-mailed to me from the owners
thanks again -
actually i was talking about using the find command in regedit.
-
actually i have e-mailed them back.
all they said was to reboot then try again
but that did not work
what do you guys think?
i really need to open this program up!!! -
Kind of severe(anu unconditional format) don't you think? Be nice, he does not know as much about computers as we do.

If you don't know what it is then you have no hope of removing the key - therefore a format is probably best.If in doubt, Google it. -

GoBack from Roxio will remove no matter where it hides. But it must be installed first.

bodybuilders1,
If you dont know about the registry, dont fully understand the operating system, dont known how to recover from a serious mistake, havent backed up your system, then hacking around in your computer will be a whole new world of adventure for you.
What you will need is the Resource Kit for your version of Windows. A tutorial on the Registry. The patience of Job. A good reovery Diskette. Lots of time. Most of us have walked down this path, learned much, suffered much, but in the end purchased the thing. -
Anybody knowing a way to identify how a timed demo program
knows that it has been installed before , should speak up.

The hard ones are in the CLSIDs I think , which are difficult to make sense of. -
your right, i'm trying to learn my pc as much as i can, so you cant hate or make fun of a person for trying!!!!
seems like people might be doing that (not to mention this foo character)
which i do not know what the hell his problem is!!!!
LISTEN FOO, I'M JUST TRYING TO LEARN, I DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOUR PROBLEM IS, THAT YOU ALWAYS GOT TO INCLUDE SOMETHING STUPID IN YOUR REPLYS, BUT BRO IF YOUR GETTING FRUSTRATED WITH MY QUESTIONS, THEN DONT SAY SHIT. I MEAN DONT GET ME WRONG, I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP TO THE FULLEST, BUT THERE IS NO NEED FOR THE B.S THAT YOU ATTACH TO YOUR REPLYS. LIKE I SAID I'M JUST TRYING TO LEARN!!!!
sorry for the outburst folks, its just that this negativity, is getting old.
also for the person that mentioned, that i should buy the program, i just wanted to say, thanks for your reply, buddy, this program was purchased, through the net. i had the demo version untill it expired, so i contacted the makers, and purchased the full version. i have e-mailed them with my problem, but they have not yet replied, so i turn my question to you guys.
thanks again...... and again sorry for the outburst!!! -
hey foo sorry about that bro, i guess i'm just hella frustrated
your welcome to take a shot back at me, i deserve it!!!! -
Don't think I've ever taken that one for a drive before...
Dropcode (hidden timers) can be very diffucult to find. You're not limited to just the registry, or even a specific file. -
(origanally posted) GoBack from Roxio will remove no matter where it hides. But it must be installed first.
but you have to install goback before somthing like this happens right? -
I would be harassing the makers of the software by bombarding them with phone calls, faxes and emails until they take notice. It is a problem between them and you, not us. If you have legally purchased the software, they are obligated to provide you with some assistance or a refund. If they don't offer assistance, demand a refund. If this is any indication, their product is no good anyway.
If in doubt, Google it. -
