Yes indeed it is a wonderful program. Let me respond to your post. 1.Who cares if you pay for it if its an awesome program. Much better quality than Dvd Shrink 2.
Please explain how you figure that DVD X Copy gives you better quality results compared to DVD Shrink.

Ive burned the exact dvd with dvd x copy xpress and dvd shrink then compared the two, frame by frame, zooming in as much as possible and dvd x copy xpress is the better of the two. Did this to several movies and same result
Ooh boy, someone definitelly has too much time on their hands. Next thing, you'll start comparing pixels.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

Yeah, I agree.... excellent program to use if you enjoy screwing up your PC with a single installation. It's more effective than even the most malicious virus.

yes, i use that term quite a bit for people who think their computer is like a toaster. They think all they have to do to it is plug it in. I have had to redo my father-in laws computer twice, because he will not leave the antivirus program and firewall alone, and he thinks getting a virus is no big deal, especially on a cable connection.

This is not specifically aimed at the DVDShrink / DVD X Copy flame war, but consider this statement:

No, and I repeat no, one-click program can/will ever give unequivocally better results than a program that can be customised. Tweaking will always yield better results than factory settings. Factory settings are the defaults which are guaranteed to work.

    It is not rocket science.
    If in doubt, Google it.

That's a pretty broad generalization. I'd say that it's nice to HAVE the option to customize, but a lot of the people who use 1-click solutions like DVD X Copy don't have the need or the desire to customize. The KISS concept hasn't survived this long for no reason. Options are great if you have the time and the patience to explore them, as well as the need or desire to use them. Otherwise they're just an obstruction and an opportunity to screw something up.

No one said that you couldn't get good results with the KISS concept, Point was customizing will give you better results

For the most part, yes I agree with you, unless your idea of good results is simplicity. It's just funny to see how people will attack someone for taking the simple route when it works just fine for them.
