  1. rite lads and ladess's lol first off brand new system:

    xp2400 cpu
    winxp
    nec 1300a 4x dvd rw
    512mb ddr
    120gb hdd
    and a 16x dvd drive

    basicaly i was trying to copy one of my dvds to work out how to do it and when i installed nero i used dvd decrypt to get the info and shrink to make it smaller then when i try to burn it in either shrink or nero i get power calibration error, no if i used intervideo dvdcopy 2 it burned fine and i made a backup of a dvd allworked ok. but the trail ran out.

    ive done some research and people try to blame the media to what ur writing onto now that cant b the case in this cos it has worked im using the yellow datawrite dvd disks. a 350w psu

  2. Power callibration is a media issue.Try writing it at a slower speed.I have some media that will give this error at 4x but will work at 2x.

    even tho the media has 1x 2x and 4x written on the disk?

  4. yeh shrink was set to burn on maximum speed so i notched it down to 2x and its burning as we speak

    next time ill try 4x (speed of the burner)
