  1. i am useing a couple of different capturing tools. in MMC7, you can select to capture for a standard VCD. but, what I want to do is capture for a standard SVCD. no encodeing afterwards. is this possible? such as a codec to select from the dropdown list in some capture programs? in this pack under tools "Nimo Codec pack", it has "Mpeg2dec DLL", is this a codec for MPEG2? i use TMPGE for encodeing but i am looking to skip that altogether. capture, burn with NERO5.5, then playback in standalone APEX ad-600 as a SVCD. can it work????

P.S.- i have tried to use the MPEG2 format in MMC7 but the highest resolution is ___x240. need 480x480. the other software i use is VCRiu and i can select the codec and the resolution size. vdub does not work for me, WINME......

Thanks for the info, and where can you buy PowerVCR 2, i had the trial version, and is the best and quickest way for making VCDs/SVCDs/DVDs. Can you buy it online and how much is it, because I haven't seen it in stores in New Zealand.

    Thanks
