  1. Because I didn't see a specific forum for DVD Burning, I'm putting this here.

I'm looking for a program (didnt see one in tools) that will create a DVD directly from an AVI, MPEG, or other video format. I have Sonic MyDVD which will do this, but I don't like it.

If I have to encode the video first, say the program will only accept videos in DVD standards, thats fine. But I need a PROGRAM (not a tutorial or method), that will allow me to select a video, then burn that video as a DVD. I DO NOT WANT SOMETHING THAT REQUIRES ME TO MESS AROUND WITH VIDEO_TS FOLDERS OR .IMG FILES!

    FROM VIDEO FILE TO DVD

    Any suggestions?

Tmpgenc dvd author sounds like a program suited for you, just pop in the dvd compliant mpg files and it will create the folders and right after it is finished doing this it will bring up a dialogue box so you can burn right away.

I don't think there is a program which does all of this, you will have to use a culmination, such as tmpgenc, tmpgenc dvd author, nero.

If Sonic DVD does what you want , why exactly do you not like it ?

It would be helpful to know. Is it a time issue or quality issue or what ?

  9. tmpgenc,tmpgenc dvd author,
    dvd-lab,copytodvd,dvd2one,dvddecrypter,ifoedit,vobedit.
you try the programmes, and find out whats best for you, instead of asking someone to tell you what prog to use.
    if you like one,use it.
