First off let me just say that the Led Zeppelin double DVD is the best product ever made. I got it for $20 on sale when it first came out and I believe it was the best purchase of my life in terms of bang for your buck. If you are a Led Zeppelin fan, this DVD will make you love the band twice as much. If you are simply a classic rock fan, this DVD will make Led Zeppelin your favorite band. Anyway, to my problem:
The DVD has three different audio streams: LPCM Stereo, Dolby AC3 5.1, and DTS. I do not use DTS. I have always played the LPCM version with great results. Recently, I tried listening to it with Dolby and in parts it sounds TERRIBLE. There is a loud scratchy noise accompanying some parts. This is especially evident in the harmonica part in "Bring it on Home". Overall, the AC3 sounds good but in parts is just messed up. I have tried playing it on two Dolby capable DVD players through stereo recievers, and on my DVD burner. The same nasty scratchiness could be heard on all devices. WHAT GIVES? Can this DVD be defective? Thanks.

hi,
When you tried those different DVD players to play the DVD, did you use the same television for them all? Could be your TV which is at fault.
Otherwise it Sounds like a defective DVD to me. Take it back and ask for a working copy.
