  1. My father is about to burn an DVD in his recorder to send off some DVDs home movies to Canadia, I know USA & Canadia are NTSC (Region 2?) which we are PAL here, at the moment the DVD machine is made in Region 4, thats the only region it makes into. My father wants to add more regions in that DVD by using the computer if its possible.

He has Panasonic DVD Machine with Hard Disk in it, the model is - DMR-HS2 (I have Pioneer 107 burner)
I also have a DVD Burner in my Mac here thinking about adding Region Codes in it - How can it be done?
    Cheers & thanks heaps.

Canada and the US are region one, but in this case, you don't need to worry. The DVD Recorder doesn't use region codes, so assuming you can get around the PAL/NTSC problem, you're good to go.
If it isn't broken, take it apart and find out why.

Try getting MacTheRipper, sticking your DVD in the DVD drive, and see what disc regions MTR reports for the DVD. If it's only region 4, try ripping it with all regions selected. I believe most DVD players sold in Canada can handle PAL content.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."
