  1. Hi, I have an xvid video, which is 90mins long, but its 1399meg! But i was wondering if there was any way of making this file 700meg or less than that, because other files can be longer than 90mins and fit onto one cd and yet still be excellent quality!

Does anyone know of any way of doing this? Or point me to some guide because I can't find one!

    Thanks!

  2. Reencode with a lower bitrate using virtualdub. Be prepared for some quality loss.

Judging by the above quote, I'm assuming you want to burn the file to a CD. Since double 700MB is very nearly 1399MB, you might want to try splitting it to two CDs and not reencode, losing quality. For this you can use VirtualDub in direct stream copy mode for a lossless split as described here. If keeping the quality is imperative, then splitting the file is the way to go.
