  1. I cannot figure out from LG site or anywhere else how these drives differ. Any clues? I might pay the $15 higher price for 4082 if I just knew what it would get me.

  2. Simple: 4081 has a burn speed of 4x for DVD-R while the 4082 is a true 8x recorder (8X for DVD-R and DVD+R)

  3. Hmmm, guess I missed that. I was hoping that the 4082 might accept DVD-RAM cartridges, but cannot find any evidence that is so.

  4. I have just bought lg's 4082b dvd recorder and oh yes it records dvd ram!!I am 10000% satisfied with this dvd recorder!
