I am a newbie as far as DVD authoring goes. I have been trying to use DVDAuthor with GUI interface to author some home movies I made with a Panasonic Mini-DV camcorder.
I used the ULEAD software that came with my firewire card to create AVI files.
I then used TMPGENC DVD Source Creater to convert the AVI files to MPEG files (m2v,mpa).
I then was trying to use DVDAuthor to author 3 clips into 3 titles on a DVD. As far as I can tell there is no facility to create menus by typing in the title names. The guide tells me that I can create a JPG file using a paint program. I tried that using Microsoft Paint but DVDAuthor tells me that the images don't meet the qualifications. I did create them as JPG files but I think it wants them at a certain resolution and I don't know how to do that. Any help would be appreciated.

dvdauthorgui requires that the jpeg be either 720x480 or 720x576 (PAL). In ms paint, goto "image"... "attributes".... enter 720 x 480.
