    Hello

Well what can I say hehehe

I feel a bit silly asking this because I'm sure it is simple but I have NO IDEA how to encode a video using a single still image.

This is so I can use it in TMPGEnc DVD Author to make a "motion menu" but really I don't want motion ... just the audio.

So I guess I have to make a video with a still image that matches the audio length of the audio file I wish to use.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it

AviSynth and CCE proceedure would be best but I have VirtualDubMod and TMPGEnc Plus as well so whatever works is fine.

Also I think I remember reading that when you do something like this for TMPGEnc DVD Author that it will only accept a muxed MPEG-2 file with MP2 audio? Is this true? I'd rather use AC-3 if possible. It seems strange to have AC-3 for the movie and MP2 for the menu.

    Thanks

  2. John -

yeah, you can take a still image (bmp, jpg) and a wav file into TMPGenc plus and get a mpg file that will last the duration of your audio file. But, dont use the wizard, as it will look for video stuff whut ain't there.

you may hafta play with the pix properties a bit to get the aspects set.

as to TDA digesting ac3 into a motion menu, I dunno. I ain't felt the urge to buy it's ac3 plugin as of yet.
