  1. has anyone else tried powerdvd xp 4? i was rather disappointed. the svcd playback is fine, but what did they do to their mpeg2 decoder? did they totally revamp it, 'cause it makes everything look terrible on my computer. it's almost like the image is too sharp. i reinstalled pdvd3.0 and picture was indeed much better, it's smoother, softer. does anyone know if they did change their dec or if there's some weird config options that i couldn't fine to change it? 'cause after testing it out, i switched back to 3.0.

    i'm using winxp btw.

I tried PowerDVD XP 4.0 and only the DolbyDigital out doesn't work anymore under Win2K. SVCD and normal DVD play good and (for me) the movies (mpeg2) look the same as under Powerdvd 3.0. If the DolbyDigital out issue is not solved, I won't upgrade to 4.0.
