  1. i have run in to a problem with the sound on xvid files

after stripping the ac3 5.1 audio and converting to wav i then rencode to create a mpeg2 file
the problem i have is the sound now comes out very very low compared to doing the same process with a divx
i convert the audio to 382 at 48000
any points or tips would be greatly appreciated

  2. You could extract it from the XviD with AC3Tool, normalize and convert to wav. The normalize alone might make it acceptable, but the tool is capable of more. Freeware. Others may suggest BeSweet, a rather cranky app and not as easy IMO. Good luck.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!
