  1. I have posted before with no answer to my previous problem!!
    So

Someone has to be able to help me out here.

While I am encoding from avi to vcd using mpeg encoder, i get the following :

    V022:vbv_delay underflow! (decoding_time=1151364.4, t_EOP=1154407.3, bitcount=14750760.0, frame=378)
    V025:vbv_delay underflow=-39, bitcount=14750760, frame=376
    V022:vbv_delay underflow! (decoding_time=1154367.4, t_EOP=1154461.1, bitcount=14751448.0, frame=376)

I don't know what this means!
How do i fix it, and what is the problem so I can understand what is going on.
I dont know if those underflow errors are what are causing Mpeg to crash while in the middle of converting.
Then I get the error reporting message from windows after Mpeg crashes.

Is this detailed enough? Any other information needed to help solve my problem.
If anything is unclear please ask me and I will clear it up.

Someone please give me a solution!!

I had a similar error (quite a while ago) and found something in the MainConcept forums, sorry cant remember what the prob/fix was (think it was something to do with Pack options or Video buffer size under advanced -> muliplexer settings)

Just search the MainConcept forums for bitcount

  6. try tmpeg
    its pretty quick at encoding
probably takes roughly real time to do what you want on a new pc

  8. How do i adjust Video-Bitrate, Muxing-bitrate and VBV-buffer-size manually.

I have been on the maincocept website, not much help there. I am still searching, so I ask again, any other info on my problem would be of great help.

    Thanks

I know ... and I'd like to help ... but can't yet .... in time, I'll have guides for MC up, but this is just a hobby that takes time.

Play around, read the manual, and visit MC site. That should work best. If not, you'll have to wait for guides or replies.

  11. Thanks a lot for ur response. I guess I will wait a bit and just keep looking like i have been doing. The few places that i have found info about the error I have gave no real soulution. Mainconcept encoder 1.4.1 seems to encode more than 1.4.2. It was working fine before, then it just got lazy. I have read post on Mainconcept forums exactly like mine, but with responses in another language!!! So that sucks. I will keep trying...

vbv_delay underflow means that the bit rate got higher than what the VBV buffer value was set for ...

it can happen with bad frames , bad settings, and the moon position far as i can tell ..

it sometimes helps to enter your own (or not) vbv values and initial decoder fullness values ..

  13. Ok...
But how do i know what to set the vbv at? Is there a comon solution for most videos? I get this same error on everything i try to encode.
