So i can't copy stuff onto cds, can anyone help me and tell me what I can do? :/

go to start/control panel/ then click on system, and go to hardware tab, then device manager, look under cd-roms should show the make of your drive, it does on mine anyway

Louise01 you could do a search on Google for drivers for your drive, but don't really get your hopes up on finding any.

The drive itself should already be supported on your system and you will probably only need the lastest version Aspi Layer installed on your system to make it more compatible with the Burning Software that your gonna use.

Again do a search for that on Google or your could go here.....

    www.adaptec.com

and use the search option at the top to look for Aspi Layer

  5. I used that ASPi checker thing and it says

    Component APIX.VXD version 4

    WNASPI32.DLL Version 1 , is that any use? :/

    There's your problem.

When we see this happen during DVD burning, it's commonly due to shit media. But I gots to be honest with ya, I haven't seen this error with CD burning in a long time. I suspect that...

...this is the problem that generated the failure. Nero didn't like the results it got when testing the media at such a high speed.

Try another burn, but reduce the speed to 12X or 16X, and see if it works.

  12. Louise01,
I didnt see what type of computer you have.
What you really need to do is upgrade to Windows XP Home or Professional. Windows ME will be next to impossible to find things for.

  13. i suggest windows xp too
it detects and installs the driver automatically for every cdrw and dvd drive i have ever encountered
