Hi Folks,
I have a file that was a capture from the TV, to be exact it was a Star Trek episode that I haven't seen before. Anyway to cut to the nitty gritty my DVC II system generated the file as an mpg2 and when I tried to play it, several hours later every program I tried just locked up.
I used Power DVD, Win DVD with no success so I thought to try splitting and rejoining with TMPGEnc hoping that would fix the oroblem, no joy it locked up as also did TMPGEnc DVD Author, Ulead Movie Factory, Ulead DVD Workshop and various other softwares that I have access to.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this file as I would like to see this episode.
My thanks in anticipation.

I would try a video editing software. Something like Ulead Video Studio, adobe Premiere, something like that where the program is actually meant for video editing instead of conversion or authoring.

Another thing to try is a reinstall of the latest DirectX.
