Hi to all. I'm italian, so sorry for my poor english...
I have 3 large AVI files (1,8Gb each one), total 43minutes.
They are taken from S-VHS, they're 704x576(PAL), 25frame/s, about 2000-2100Kb/s, audio 44100Hz 16bit Stereo.
I want to make a Super Video CD (MPEG2) with them.
Here are some questions:
- Is it better that i junct all the 3 AVI files into a very big one and then I compress it, or is it better if I compress the files singly? (or scene by scene?)
- Is it correct to resize the files from 704x576 to 352(exactly 704/2)x576 or is it better 480x576? (and what if I let the film be in 704x576?)
- Why the quality of the compressed files is not what I expected to be? in fact when the film "go fast" the shapes are fragmented by orizzontal lines.
- Why when I see the compressed files I can only PLAY them but can't I for example go directly at the 2nd minute? the timebar doesn't work, it's locked. REWIND and F.FOWARD are locked too. I can only push PLAY, PAUSE or STOP.
- What's the meaning of INTERLACED?
Thank you very much
