  1. I am running windows XPand use Cucusoft AVI to VCD DVD MPEG Converter Pro to change avi files to dvd. Then I use TMPGEnc DVD Author and DVD witer to finish. QWhat I would like to know is why do the movies freeze in the middle and nothing can make them go any further? I wondered if I wrote them at a different speed would it make any difference? On the computer in there original avi state they are perfect so it must be something I am doing wrong. Any help would be gratefully received.

Use Virtual Dub to scan for bad frames.
    Hello.

  3. Tried what you suggested but it didn't show any bad frames. Any other suggestions?

Check to see if the encoding always stop on the same frame. If it does, encode to just before that frame, then encode after that frame. Then use MPEGTools to join the two encoded parts.
    Hello.
