Not sure where this question goes.
But I am trying to make a backup of the dvd Halloween movie, using DVDXcopy and DVDXcopy Express. I tried both.
When the progress bar gets complete I get a message "error reading DVD sector".
The DVD plays fine in my DVD player and on my computer DVD player.
Does this mean it is copy protected which is preventing me from making a backup?
Thanks

Even a fool can be wise, all he has to do is keep his mouth shut

try ripping with dvd decrypter first, and then use dvdshrink. they are both free and much better than dvdxcopy
-
Well, no luck..
It still will not copy one file..same error message.
But like I said..the DVD plays fine.
Ideas? Or is this a copy protection thing? -
make sure the disc is clean. Playing is a little more forgiving than ripping.

Cleaned it...still same thing.
I have tried it on both my DVD/CD combo drive and my DVD durner.
Same thing and same spot..
Oh well..guess one of those tings
