Can anyone help? My audio playback (after new Hard drive installed), using Sigma Tel driver. Now gives me a strange audio output:
1 Vocals are in the background and echoey.
2 Tracks sound like they have been remixed!
thanks

sounds as though your sound card has some fancy DSP options. open whatever software came with your card and kill any of that crap.

There is no sound card (its on the motherboard), just staight 2 channel sound, there are no other options!

do you have the little volume icon on your taskbar? double click. options. properties. scroll through the list of controls and have a check for "3d sound" or "hyper sound" or just something else silly. enable this, then close the properties window. 3d sound should now appear with all your other volume controls - turn it off!
if that's not it are you 100% you have the latest sound drivers from your mobo manufacturer? -
It is in fact the driver! All sorted now thanks
