  1. Well I took a recently downloaded svcd, and I used the guide: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/svcd2dvdr.htm to convert it to burn to DVD. So I converted my audio, and patched the whole file not just the first header like the guide says. My source was PAL 25fps and 576x480 was the resolution. Now I authored with tmpgauthor and created menus and chapters, not sure if chapters are allowed (but this is not where my problem lies, I do not think). After I create the menus I outputted the project to vobs, then patched the vobs (whole files, not just first header) back to the orginal resolution. This is where I think the problem is, but I'm not sure how to correct it. So now when I load up my project in powerdvd The menus work like a charm, but the background is all skewed, the mouseovers are about an inch off, so you have to hover over an empty space next to your selection to actually hit the selection, and also the Play button will dissapear when you go over the clip selection. Now is this because of the patching of the whole file, if I just patch the first header, will it work out fine for me? Anyone that has any information about this, please help me out. thanks

  2. 576x480 at 25fps is not a SVCD Resolution, that's the problem. Only 480x480 at 29.976fps and 480x576 at 25fps is. You have either switched the order, or there is no way to burn this video without reencoding. But this SVCD to DVD Patching is always something that only sometimes works, because it is doing something that is not meant to be done. If it doesn't work, try a different player, but if it simply doesn't work then it simply doesn't work.
