  1. I authored a dvd with Dvd LAb and compliled it no problem. Then I used Nero to copy the compiled files (the two folders, the Aduio one and the Video one) onto a Dvd. There are a few problems.
One - the Dvd wont play at all in my dvd player which doesnt read copies, but I assumed it would, am I wrong?
It does play in my other Dvd player but none of the videos work, I dont know why. All the videos are 352 x 288 I think, but I didnt compile them like that because dvd lab advised something else. Was this it?

  2. Ok, Here is were your screwing up.

*** "the two folders, the Aduio one and the Video one) onto a Dvd"***

After compiling is finished in DVD-Lab, fire up nero.

1- Select DVD-Video from the menu and hit 'New"

2- You get two folders inside the newly opened and still empty window.

3- Double Click on the Video_TS folder (its the one with the red folder Icon next to it)

4- Go to the file browser window, and open the folder where you compiled your DVD with DVD_LAb (i think default is "DVDLab Volume").

5- Open the Video_TS folder which is in the "DVDLab Volume" folder and highlight all files (ie .VOB, .BUP .IFO ...etc) with your mouse.

6- Drag the highlighted files to the window were you opened the red icon Video_TS folder in point 3 above

    7- Hit Burn on Nero

8- Your dvd player should now be able to play the DVD.

  3. I followed your instuctions but when I press BURN I get this message:

"DVD-Video files reallocation failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be unplayable. Do you want to continue?"

  4. Hi Jack
You say the DVD plays in your "other DVD player" but the videos don't work. How could it play if they don't work? Also the resolution for the videos is 352x288. This is a proper resolution for PAL vcd and DVD. Do you live in a PAL region and are these really mpg2 files or are they mpg1 files? If they are mpg1 your DVD player may not be able to play them.

  5. I live in the UK. When I said that one of my players plays them, I ment the menu worked.

In reference to my post above, I tryed burning it anyway, even with that message and all the videos work, except that 1 of the videos is out of sinq. Could this be because it is Mpg1 instead of two . I dont know what it is, but does this sound likely?

  6. It may be out of sync because of bad frames. It doesn't matter if it is mpg1 or mpg. Scan your original files for bad frames before authoring them.

i recommend creating an image with dvd lab, and burning that image with any burning program.

    DVD-Video files reallocation failed
Only time I've seen this on a dvdlab project was when I ran out of disc space and dvdlab didn't complete (but also didn't tell me)

  9. I re-encoded the mpg to VCD format, and now when I try to import it only 18 mins of it is in DvdLab instead of the full 34 mins.

Are you by chance using the dvdlab pro beta. If so there is a bug in it where you will get that error message. This dvdlab pro beta was useless to me.
