Iam trying to convert my cousins weddings dvd into vcd, iam using dvd2svcd ( the latest one) using TMPGenc 2.5 but it fails after few hours when video encoding begins saying "Illegal floating decimal point calculation order".
now ive read other posts on this problem but they all seem to be for avi's.

Try another encoder. I use mainconcept for anything that tmpeg can't handle.

Some versions of TMPGEnc are definitely buggy. The one I've found to be stable that doesn't crash or freeze half way through all the time on my system is the version included in the EasyVcd package. Actually you should just download the software (it''s free!) and use it totally for your DVD to VCD conversions. It's a one-click solution. Can be found here:>
