  1. i have a high quality movie in xvid format,and i have aquired a srt file for the subs..the movie is in english,the subs are in english,but there are parts of the movie that are in japanese,there are no hardcoded english subs as the film is a japanese version,,anyway can i strip the subs down and insert only the english parts i want in there durin the japanese speakin parts,before converting to dvd???any help is appreciated

    Open the .srt with notepad and just delete the the time index and following text which you dont want,i've done this before and it works.

  3. then what would be the best prog to adjust the subs i want into the movie,,by the way thanks for help

    Change the time with what you want,you can see the time stamp for each dialogue line.just put in the time you want with notepad.
