  1. is it possible to use an exist dvd menu
for example, i have the origenal dvd of the matrix well i like the menu and the effects and so on
now i want to use that menu to make my own dvd only i want to replace the pictures with my own pictures and i want to replace the matrix movie with my own captured holiday movie
so i just want only the movie imported into dvd-lab so i can edit it

  4. You want to re-use the menu but you want to replace everything. What's that you want to re-use then? The idea? If so, go ahead. DVD-Lab is very flexible for menu creation. If there is some asset you want to re-use from the original, you can extract it with something like Vobrator.

  6. I know, you mentioned that. But if you replace the pictures and the movie what's left? The menu structure is easy to recreate. You can do it with DVD-Lab. What's fancy about the Matrix menus are the videos. If you can make fancy videos from your holiday collection you can make similar menus as the Matrix ones. For this you need a good video editing tool. DVD-Lab won't do.

The matrix DVD contains few motion menus (root, language/subtitles and several scene selection menus) and many really well done transition videos which connect nicely with the menus. The menu loops are also very well thought of. That's the trick.
