I maybe will make it user-selectable so you can turn them off or on.

lordsmurf: go back one page in this topic.

    Blue is nice and calming.

It may help moderate the versatile temper of some of our most active posters, who tend to drift away from the original post question....

How did you change them? I must be stupid.

Or it hasn't happened yet, and your comments are general, not from experience.

I think I will start with the classic layout as the default when I change the domain name to www.videohelp.com . It might get confusing with both new layout and new domain name at the same time for some visitors...

I will probably change tomorrow morning.

vcdhelp.com and dvdrhelp.com will still work fine, links will automatically be forwarded to the videohelp.com domain.

  8. I know, but it still slows it down, you know going into one and being forwarded to another page. Oh well, I used EditPad Lite to alter all the links in the guide

I'm also working on new colors

I like the a green, red, brown, blue menu version.
I don't like one colour pages (As an old raver from '88, I love colours....).
Myself gonna keep the classc colours style (how it is today that is)

Why a DV page and not a DVB one?
DVB is turning HUGE now in Europe, expecially with PVRs and DVB PCI cards.
I suggest a DVB section, even doom9 didn't really touched that. I could lead that one...

We don't have dvb forum yet. Interested leading a dvb forum?

I suggest a poll about DVB stuff in the front page first.
Something like: "Are you interest for DVB topics / forum like capturing DVB transmissions, convert them to whatever and all the related matter from an mpeg point of view?"
Just to count the reaction from the members.
If there is an interest about it, then I could help on this.

We do have an amount of questions about this subject, that for sure, so it might interest people, expecially those located in Europe. And it is a subject with bright future...

One problem we may have with a DVB forum, is the different technology USA follows on this... A USA mod with knowledge on this subject is neccessary. You see, I can cover the DVB part myself but not the DSS side (USA).

    Sounds like a good idea.

I'd definitely be interested in a DVB forum too, and quite willing to help out if neccesary. it's quite surprising how little info seems to be out there when millions of people are using the technology!
