    I downloaded a divx movie and converted it to mpeg or avi
    (don't remember what it was before) + (im a newbie). Anyway, I want to burn it to a disc with my CD burner and play it in my standalone DVD player. What is PAL? It says if you are converting PAL or something to that effect. Any input is really appreciated.

    PAL is a german TV standard used in Australia and western Europe (except France I believe). PAL resolution is 768x576 pixel @25 frames / sec.
    Excuse me, I can't figure out, what your problem is.
