  1. Hi everyone,

I am backing up a DVD9 to 2 DVD5's, using Ifoedit and DVD Decrypter. But I discovered that the chapters menu and the extras are all contained in the VTS_01_1.VOB file, which also contains part of the main movie. As a result, selecting the chapters menu on the second ouput disk will cause crashing in both PC and stand-alone players. Is there a way fix this, or do I have to use a different program to split in order to preserve the DVD structure on both disks?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  2. i'm confused.

are you trying to split to two disks and add menus to both disks?
I don't think you can do this.

you can have all the menus on the first disk and then just play the second disk when it asks for it.

dvdfab is great for doing this.

I've done it before -- if the menus are contained in separate vob files, that's not a problem. But in this case chapters menu and extras are all in the same files as the main movie, so I can't split the non-movie materials onto both disks...

    Yup

DVDRemake, DVDStripper. The former costs, the latter is a little wonky, but free.
