  1. Is there an easy way to to set the field order in Tmpgenc for encoding an avi source file obtained from backing up your average hollywood DVD movie?

    Try this guide here, I constantly refer to it and for me it's the bible of TMPGEnc

  3. Thanks mate, I do already use that guide and your right it is a bible, I just wonderd if there was a short cut rather than going to all the effort of testing. I suppose I'm just being lazy!!

  4. Use TMPGEnc's Project Wizard.
    You'll find it on the File menu.

    After selecting the format you get to Project Wizard page 2.
    Load your video source and TMPGEnc will scan the source - if it's interlaced then it'll set the appropriate field order for you.
