  1. I use TMPGENC dvd author for authoring my dvds, with both motion and static menus, background music, etc. My question is, I compiled a dvd recently, burnt it to a DVD-RW, but I found that I neglected to create a "Choose track" page. Is it possible to somehow make this small change to the menu options, without going through the entire process again? I know the easiest way would have been to save the project and just change the project, but I didn't. It was a pretty basic (or so I thought) project, so I didn't save it. Any ideas?

  2. Unfortunately, if you did not save your project, you are out of luck. It contains the instructions for your navigation. Once rendered, the menus are just mpegs as far as DVD Author is concerned.

However, if you left your content in the same place, it should not be too difficult to simply redo the project.

Now, if you managed to save your menu structure, it would be a piece of cake. However, since you did not mention it, I can only presume you did not.

  3. Don't forget that when you start over and create a new project you can import the DVD video from the first DVD rather than using your original source. That way you will not have to redo your editing and chapter points.

  4. Thanks for the quick reply!
Unfortunately, I didn't save the structure. Looks like I'm starting over. Oh, by the way, I know that with dvd author, there is an option to set the fonts for all pages, and the background for all pages. If I'm setting most font sizes for the same size (different from the default) and using the same font color for all menu pages, is there some way of automating that? I find most of my time is spent changing the color and size of the fonts, as I usually set chapters every 5 to 7 minutes in my menus.

You do understand that you only have to re-create the menus right?

Also in the "edit" command under the menu creation area there are choices to set font etc for ALL pages. Is that what you mean?

  6. I know how to set font (as in face, like Arial or whatever) for all pages, and the background for all pages, I was just wondering if there was any way to automate stuff like font color and font size.
