Any techies out there? Here is the deal. I have 9 DOT-X TV video monitors (7 on hand and 2 on loan) and want to make a video wall of sorts. I have posted on this a time back But have not found a suitable (cheap enough) solution yet. Can I build a device that will split a composite cable into 9 outputs? I mean split it so as each of the outputs is 1/9th of the picture and arranged in a 3X3 grid. Could someone give the details and a list of parts. But wait there's more! The back of the monitors have several input output options. A regular coax, a coax looking type with twist lock lugs on the sides and a RCA type. The only one that I can get to work is the RCA. They were set up at the place I got them from with the twist lock connection but I wasn't allowed the guts of the system. I made a cable with a regular coax on one end and a twist lock on the other and it doesn't work. Maybe it's for differnt signal?. I took the back off the set thinking that there might be a jumper setting and there was. I moved the jumper to all possible options and a text box on the screen changes wording but I still can only get the RCA jack to work. Just wondering if I needed to use maybe 2 jumpers or somthing? Anyhow I have put off contacting DOT-X because I suspect that they are more into selling systems than wasting their time with a non-custermer. Iv'e done a half hearted search on the subject and found that multi monitor systems ain't cheap and or don't meet my wants. I also read that multi graphic cards can be buggy as hell. Any ideas or links will be great! Thanks

Must be done "internally" ie in a dedicated 'box' (the electronic magic of which eludes me) and have each monitor fed its respective signal. Think PIP (picture in picture) 9 times.
The Matrox Parhelia offers 3 outputs. 3 of them will make a 3*3 video wall.
(assuming your TV monitors will accept their inputs.)

I know what a paragraph is I just don't how to make one.(product of public education and that was 20 years ago)
Does BNC indicate a differnt type of signal? Or is there some reason that my home made cable dosen't work?
I can't afford to even look at the Matrox site!(If I were to build a ground up computer I do like their card/software bundle)
Thanks for your reply.IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT? -
i believe the bnc connection has a signal wire, and a ground wire. i may be wrong though
