  1. Im a football nut and I have a bunch of super bowls on VHS taped that i want to convert to dvd and i want to edit all the commercials and make menus and all tha stuff. I used pinnacle 9 and was very dissapointed with it, it never worked the way i wanted it to so now im looking for something more reliable. which is the best for doing this, i know there are alot of programs out there but please someone must know which is by far the better.

    i know pinnacle studio lacks some cool stuff like multi video layers, but i think it's suitable for the simple task you want to do (recording and cutting).
    maybe you can tell what you wanted to do and didn't succeed in?

    VirtualDubMod, AviSynth, Cinemacraft Encoder, BeSweet, DVD-Lab. Capture AVI full D1, filter, encode half D1 with VBR at least 4000.
