I have these VCD's here, and they are loaded with RM files....
My DVD player cannot play them, so I cant simply capture the video into my computer, and none of the programs I have can do it.

Does anybody know a way to transfer Real Media(.RM) files into a format that i can use, such as .avi, .mpeg, or .vob?

    Thanks.

  2. i believe TMPGEnc can do it, you just need a codec for it.

btw how do you have a vcd with rm files on it? do you just mean you have a bunch of rm files burned on a cd?

Yea, my bad. I should have said that when I bought them, they were supposed to be VCD's.

I have TMPGEnc and I don't think it worked, but ill try it again.

TMPEGEnc can do just about every format that exists EXCEPT .RM

This is crazy all i want to do is take this worthless CD and make it into a DVD so i can actually watch the stupid thing.

Ive been working with video like this for years, and never have I been able to do .RM

Not even Adobe Premier PRO can use .RM files...

I use EO Video. You can convert it to mpeg1 or avi format. Try it for 30 days free.

    If you have realone(new) player,
-pop cd in cd-rom of computer
    -open tracks using RealOne player,
-choose 'CD' on the bottom of the application.
    -click on add track
    -browse and add tracks.
-burn on to cd-r/rw as .wav format and it is easy to convert to mp3 or any other format from there.
Don't waste your media. Burn it on re-writable media first.
