not enough space on disc

When using Nero 6 to copy directly from a backed up dvd-r to another dvd-r. Nero reports there is insufficient space on blank disc.

This is clearly not the case as both discs are the same Ritek 4 speed.

The only way I can copy a backed up disc is to copy to my hd first, any help would be appreciated

I am unsure as to why your error occurs. However copying to your hard drive first instead of copying on the fly will provide a much more stable burn. I would (and do myself) use that method.
