some questions on photo slideshows

hi everybody, I have a couple of questions about creating a dvd with pictures slideshows on it.
1) do you know of any software that allows the creation of slideshows that you can control (next/previous picture) while keeping on playing a background music ? I mean, music goes on while you can choose which picture to watch and how long
2) does this software (if exist) or anyone else allow the creation of a dvd whit both picture slideshows and videos on it ?

Question 1 is imposible. It's not DVD spec.

Question 2 is simple. Virtually all DVD Authoring S/W will let you have Slideshows and Video on the same disk.
