  1. I was able to create DVD yesterday from 8 mpg, But I have hit a problem.

All the mpg are 45mins each.
I change the sound in the correct format following the "Can I burn VCD or SVCD on DVD±R/W?" sticky. Which works great for all but 2 of the 8 mpg's.
TMPGEnc DVD Author is reporting the wrong length, 1 is saying 35 seconds and the other is saying 4 minutes.

The files seem ok when I play them in mediaplayer both sound and video.

What do I need to do before TMPGEnc DVD Author can read the correct length?

It sounds like the headers are fooked up. I don't know any other way apart from re-encoding. Some of the gurus here might know though.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Crap, I thought it had something to do with maybe being cut and joined wrong.

    What's a good program to re-encode them??

try first (re)multiplex them, in tmpgenc under file->tools->multiplex choose your mpg as both video and audio and make a new mpg file.
