  1. I converted a DVD to .avi using auto gk. I tried using both Hyperthreading and without (since it says it doesn't work with HT) and I got the same result, no sound. I tried playing in windows media player 9 and it says that it needs the audio codec 2000. When playing on dvix it said that it just couldn't play the file. I used GSpot to find what the problem is. Under the "File" heading I click on stat and it then says"this is an invalid AVI file due to corruption of the data in the header" Then under "Direct Show Render" I click on render and I get the following message "some of the streams are in an unsupported format." I have ripped a movie before but didn't have a problem. If I could get some help I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
