  1. Hello dear friends,

I still don't know what is causing this problem:
I burn dvd's which run perfectly on my two dvd players on the computer. The problem starts when I try to make them run on common dvd players. Three friends of mine tried it out on their machines and it allways gets either stuck or starts stuttering.

Does anyone know if it depends on the players, the disc, the editing program or anything else?!?

I realy need my works to play propperly everywhere!

    Thanks!

    Lozi.

  2. I believe if you try burning with a different media,
it will play on your friends standalone.
The Sony discs will not play on my old panasonic,
but the ritek, frys and some compusa will.

  3. Thanks!

    I appreciate this info.

But I am surprised that my Phillips & Maxell won't do...

  4. When I use other authoring software other than tmpg.. author,
it plays back at an accelerated speed.
So maybe authoring has something to do with it too.
This is on playback on the home dvd player.

  5. tmpg?

Please tell me more about it.
And; do you know if adobe premiere can also author dvd's?

You will have to use some kind of authoring tool to make a dvd.
Premiere is only editing software. You will have to encode the output
to mpeg2 and use a dvd arthoring sofware to make dvd.

Also make sure you're burning it as a DVD-Video and not DVD-ROM.
